Algonkian Elementary Electrical fire

The computer lab in Algonkian Elementary School at Potomac Falls Virginia, was the source of a smoldering electrical fire yesterday.  Wiring in the walls began to smolder and produce smoke mid morning and the school was evacuated.  Numerous fire and safety personnel arrived on scene within minutes.  As the computer lab was not in use at the time, no kids or teachers were exposed to the danger and upon evacuation, all kids were accounted for and kept outside for about an hour.

Loudoun County Fire Department quickly resolved the issue with minimal resources and deemed the building safe to re-occupy.  As a pre-caution the computer lab is temporarily off limits until the wiring can be repaired.

Local teacher loves kids

Well maybe this headline is a little misleading, or not, but anyway our all time favorite art teacher at Algonkian Elementary has finally been arrested for what some of us were afraid he might be into all along.  There comes a point when you see a guy driving a VW Bug with fairy stickers on it and you just have to wonder, right?  Or maybe it's the big bouquet of flowers next to the steering wheel?  Well, OK maybe we should not be stereotyping but honestly, it's not the big tattooed dad wearing overalls, driving a jacked up truck, getting arrested for this kind of thing.  He's the one getting arrested for beating his wife.
